Cost-free COVID-19 testing service at the Government Complex

Date:

Starting Tuesday (Jan. 11) through Jan. 21, the Department of Public Health is opening a new COVID-19 testing center, which will operate only on weekdays. The move comes at a time of a sharp increase in coronavirus infections after the New Year vacation.

Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister, Anutin Charnvirakul, said the center would be based on the first floor of Building B, the parking lot of the government building, Chaeng Watthana Road.

The service was initiated by the National Health Security Office (NHSO), Mahidol University School of Medical Technology, and Dhanarak Asset Development, a listed company of the Ministry of Finance.

The Ministry of Health reports that the center will be equipped with an antigen test kit (ATK) that will provide results within 30 minutes.

Those who test positive will be admitted to NHSO’s home and community isolation program or to a hospital or field hospital. For those who enter home and community isolation programs, meals, medical supplies, and equipment will be provided for those with mild symptoms.
