The community isolation at the Ban Ko Phi Phi Royal School, Ao Nang Subdistrict, Mueang Krabi District is now open to support COVID-19 patients with 44 beds in accordance with the rising number of infected cases in the city.
Krabi Provincial Public Health Office reported a higher number of patients infected with the latest COVID-19 variant on February 8, 2022, leading to a tendency to exceed the target per day. Another 302 new cases were found: 84 subjects with PCR positive and 218 subjects with positive ATK test.
However, the risk areas are still Mueang Krabi and Phi Phi districts, where 46 patients were found. Two districts, including Plai Phraya district. and Lam Thap District does not have an updated report of infected cases while there are 25,671 cured patients and 2,504 being treated.
Krabi province has just recently announced many temporary closures of government offices because there are personnel exposed to risk groups and infected with COVID-19, such as the Regional Harbor Office, Krabi Branch, Krabi Noi Subdistrict Municipality Office, Sai Thai Subdistrict Administrative Organization Office, Nuea Khlong Subdistrict Municipality Office, and Nuea Khlong District Agriculture Office.
