Test & Go to be scrapped by May 1st

Date:

The general meeting of the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration, chaired by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O’Cha, has announced the cancellation of the ‘Test & Go’ scheme, effective May 1st.

Test and Go is to be scrapped by 1st May, allowing entry into Thailand to be divided into two channels, vaccinated and non vaccinated travellers. For vaccinated travellers there are no more mandatory test, either RT-PCR or ATK. However they remains a recommendation to still self test, to order to access medical help if you test positive.

The good news is that vaccinated arrivals to Thailand will be free to go anywhere in Thailand, with no more mandatory hotel stays. However insurance is still required but has been reduced to $10,000.

Un-Vaccinated people are still required to have a hotel booking and do RT-PCR TEST on Day 5

Thailand Pass to be temporally closed from the 1st May onwards until details on how to proceed are worked out.

Hospitals are stockpiling medication nation wide to prepare for a post Songkran spike in numbers.
