Tourist thief, Krabi police raid pub in Ao Nang area


Krabi police raid a pub in the Ao Nang area. In a famous tourist attraction at Krabi city, a British tourist was robbed. This type of crime has been reported several times.

At 7:00 am on May 4, the Krabi province investigation police with the investigation team of Ao Nang police station, brought a warrant to Krabi provincial court. They searched the rental house at 501 Village No. 2, Nuea Khlong Subdistrict, Nuea Khlong District, Krabi Province. They found Mr. Panuwit, 39 years old, working as a guard in one of the entertainment places in Ao Nang beach. They placed the man in custody for stealing the property of foreign tourists.

The incident occurred along Ao Nang Beach Road, Ao Nang sub-district, Mueang district, Krabi province at 1:00 am on May 1. Officers looking for evidence found clothes that the attacker was wearing on the day of the attack with the motorcycle used in the accident. Including some of the injured property, including a chest bag, a cell phone, a driver’s license, a watch, the accused confessed to stealing from tourists. Therefore, he was taken into custody with the property for questioning at Ao Nang Police Station.

A background check revealed that he had previously been convicted of burglary in Chumphon province, and after this sentence was released to work as a guard in the entertainment venues of Ao Nang beach. He then committed robberies of women, foreign tourists walking alone.
