Krabi has just issued a public notice in risk areas to warn of the dangers of heavy rains, flash floods and mudslides due to the influence of cyclone “Asnee” for 1 to 2 days, it is requested that small boats stay on the coast.
On May 9, volunteers passed the warning message in the villages of Thap Prik sub-district, Mueang Krabi district and inspected the rainwater and groundwater measuring facilities located in the area. Than Khao Phanom Bencha National Park is prone to heavy rainfall, everything has been prepared to alert people because the area is a landslide risk area, this has already happened several times in the past.
The Krabi Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office issued the following public notice: ”To the residents of the risk areas in the 8 districts, beware of the danger of heavy rains, wild flowing water, flash floods and landslides due to the intensification of the influence of the cyclone “Asnee” which is raging over the Andaman Sea and causing heavy rains, strong winds and possible flash floods. Due to rough seas, sailors should be careful and small boats should stay ashore on May 9 and 10.
