Hua Hin Thammasat to solve flooding problems after heavy rain

Date:

In the past several days, there has been continuous heavy rain causing flooding in the low area of the alleys, which looks like a basin. It makes people traffic difficult and brings the issue of sewers in the alleys. Hua Hin Municipality plans to solve the long term problem and has also given relief bags to flood victims of 10 houses.

On May 11, the Deputy Mayor of Hua Hin, Ms Pailin Kongphan, along with Mayor’s secretary Mr Kitti Fuengfu, Vice-President of the Municipal Council Mr Cheep Suksee, and the members of the Municipal Council Mr Thongchai Petchrasongkram, Ms Nongluck Padungtos and Mr Danaipong Srivaddhanakul visit the disaster area in Soi Hua Hin 124.

Before that, Ms Pailin and her team had already visited the area along the Royal Canal Road Soi 94 and Soi 102 which is the opposite of the Dusit Land 10 project, Khao Phithak Community. After being informed by the villagers in the area that there was flooding into their homes during heavy rain. It was caused by the weeds, sandstone fragments and a large amount of rubbish blocking the rainwater drainage route that flows from the north into the Royal Canal, leading to inconvenient drainage. Therefore, the machinic coordinator from the Office of Technicians dredges water channels to solve the problem of flooding.

At present, Hua Hin Municipality has allocated a budget and assigned the Sanitation Technician Division to hire a sewage suction truck to inject mud to clean the drains. Install nozzles and high-pressure water pumps to operate in various areas for 3 months, from April 16 to July 4, 65, to improve the drainage system in the municipality of Hua Hin.
