The Thai male national team lost to Vietnam in the final and was ready to fight for a silver medal. “I can only say sorry to the Thai fans. We’re here to try and get the gold medal. But at the same time, I’m proud of my players because this is a good tournament for them,” Mano said.

“We play this tournament with hands over our hearts proudly. I am very proud of this team of players; they have played great. This tournament is very intense; we also have a chance to win. Everyone is confident and tries hard not just today, but also in past games.”

“Today, we didn’t play bad; it was because Vietnam defended very well; we would have had a chance but they played long balls and got goals. We are proud for everyone is doing well.”

“I will continue to work hard and move on; after getting off the plane, I will be training the Thai national main team immediately; and try to lead the team to achieve our goals in the Asian Cup in Uzbekistan.”
