The Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin new board was recently inaugurated at a ceremony held at Amari Hotel Hua Hin with local leaders, business people and many guests in attendance.
Mrs. La-or Jinda, Governor of Region 3330, Rotary International, presided over the inauguration ceremony of the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin, Rotaract Club, Stamford International University. Rotaract Club Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin Wang Klai Kangwon Campus Administrative year 2022-2023
The evening at Amari Hotel Hua Hin included local dignitaries such as with Mr. Nopporn Wutthikul, Mayor of Hua Hin City. Police Colonel Hong Phrom, Wisit Chanachai Superintendent of the Hua Hin Police Station. Mr. Cel Dilon, Executive Director Stamford International University Hua Hin, Mrs. Wassana Srikanjana President of Hua Hin/Cha-am Tourism Business Association, Mrs. Pranom Chupu, President of Hua Hin Women Club Many Rotarians and man distinguished guests, both Thais and foreigners, who joined to offer their congratulations.Â
Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin is considered a charitable organisation for both Thais and foreigners but currently the membership has a majority of foreigners, leaving an opportunity for more local Thais to join and become more involved. There are 52 members from 16 nationalities residing in Hua Hin and nearby. The Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin is an organisation that provides services to help society without seeking benefits. It aims to be a moral organisation that supports a mutual understanding in a world of goodwill and peace.Â
The club’s board of directors in the past 3 years include EGAT Napa Kaewtem, former president of the executive year 2019-2020, OECD Brian Anderson, former president of the executive year 2020-2021, and Mr. Phil Lawrence, President of the Executive Year 2021-2022, who has dedicated himself to a devoted management stint under the crisis of the Covid-19 epidemic which saw the club organize multiple social service projects including utlizing a budget of more than 5 million baht during the past 3 years, for such uses in donating medical equipment and masks to the hospital.Â
Other instances of the Rotary Club services include donating survival bags to medical personnel and COVID patients in Hua Hin Sanam Hospital.  Establishment of the Rotary Education Center at Ban Nong Khon School Project to improve the curriculum for teaching special children at Petchaburi Panyanukul School.  Donations with Ejun to help build a school for special children and many other projects. As for the 2022-2023 management year, Mr. Phil Lawrence will serve as the President of the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin for another term.Â
Governor La-or Jinda congratulated Dr. Phil Lawrence, the club’s president and the new board of directors as well as fellow Rotarians.  It would seem that from such a strong partnership of local people cooperating for the betterment of Hua Hin that the ideology of Rotary will be an important force in driving local social service work into the future. The occasion offered an opportunity to join and to congratulate and be proud of the achievements of Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin so far.
Mr. Nopporn Wutthikul gave a congratulatory speech and offered admiration for the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin, who have made many contributions to society over the past 12 years, always working in tandem with the policies of the Hua Hin Municipality.  In terms of activities and projects, Hua Hin City has become a liveable and safe city, which the management of the Rotary Club will seek to prosper Hua Hin City. It is a model community where Thais and foreigners live in contentment together.Â
Congratulations were offered to Mr. Nicha Phungpaeng and Rotaract Club Directors. Stamford International University, Sirima Tubsi and Rotaract Club Director Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin Wang Klai Kangwon Campus that has been established this time to be student leaders.  The Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin is an important force in social activities that can serve the community well.
