Water level seems secure! Prachuap is bracing itself for potential flodding

Mr. Sathien Charoenruen, Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan, appointed Mr. Kittipong Sukpakkul, Deputy Governor of Prachuap Province, on October 5. The Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office (PWA) visited the region to assess the preparedness of measures to avoid and solve flooding problems in Thap Sakae District, namely at two sites, the U-turn Rungfa Subdistrict. Mr Khanun Thongsri, Thap Sakae District Chief, along with Senior Permanent Secretary, District Security Deputy head of government, Local government organizations, village headmen, and village heads were welcomed and briefed on the overall picture. This  problem-solving activity is in response to the government’s strategy of planning to avoid and address the problem, so that I f there is a flood, it may be rectified quickly.

While Commander Sitthirat Poosongchai, Director of the Wing 5 Disaster Mitigation Center, Prachuap Province, and Air Chief Marshal Samart Wongsongcharoen, Deputy Director of the Wing 5 Disaster Mitigation Center, along with the Air Wing 5 Disaster Mitigation Center staff went to the area of Bang Saphan District to survey and prepare for disaster relief and help people in case of flooding, Mrs. Nitcha Kongnil, Senior Permanent Secretary of Bang  studied the waterways, developing different infrastructure to address the flood problem, such as the Bang Saphan Canal Floodgate; and the Bang Saphan Canal Wall Khlong Bang Saphan (Ban Wang Yao) water level monitoring location, which was judged to be normal. The canal’s water state was evaluated to be secure.
