“Hua Hin” virtual fire drills in shopping centers

Date:

Officials from the Hua Hin district and the province of Prachuap Khiri Khan oversaw fire suppression and evacuation drills at the Market Village Hua Hin shopping center on October 6. The drills simulated a short circuit in a store located on the second level of the mall. The fire was put out using chemical fire extinguishers and water, while rescue workers looked for injured people to administer first aid and transport to hospitals. Shopping center personnel and visitors were instructed in the proper protocols for a swift and safe evacuation to the exterior of the complex.

Hua Hin District Chief Prachuap Khiri Khan Province Mr. Polkrit Phuangvalaisin, Mayor of Hua Hin Mr. Nopporn Wutthikul, and Hua Hin Police Colonel Hong Phrom Wisitchanachai, Superintendent of the Hua Hin Police Station, all took part overseeing the drills.

Market Village Hua Hin’s general manager, Mr. Amornthep Uammeepian, claimed that the mall regularly exercises its fire evacuation plans to ensure that they are in line with the policy of the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare. Department store and shop staff are prepared for the possibility of a fire, as is the Fireman team of the shopping complex operator. That’s because there are so many regular customers in the mall. The administration has declared a slew of holidays for the month of October. Those  occur between October 13th and 16th, and 23rd and 25th,  thus the mall needs to be ready to establish trust with all visitors to the service at that time. The practice session was a success and lived up to expectations.
