The rise of digital technologies has moved to the forefront of national agendas. Recent efforts have included a symposium titled “Thailand 4.0: The Future and Beyond,” which aimed to solicit ideas for making the country a leader in the digital economy of Southeast Asia.
Bangkok’s Centara Grand Ladprao hotel played home to the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society’s inaugural conference and exhibition, which was opened by Deputy Prime Minister Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan.
General Prawit gave a speech during the ceremony, highlighting the country of Thailand’s remarkable development. It was also obvious in the advocacy for a digital economy that would boost national competitiveness. According to the government’s “Thailand 4.0” policy, which prioritizes economic growth through innovation, he added, “digital technology may be employed to foster societal advancement.”
The Deputy Prime Minister praised the Ministry for holding the event, which he deemed to be both necessary and crucial. He praised the business community for sponsoring the conference and urged that the findings be used to help the general public and particularly vulnerable populations like those with disabilities.
Along with bringing attention to online dangers, the event was meant to disseminate information regarding digital technology’s positive applications, such as how to avoid its abuse. The goal is to make people more capable of handling cyberattacks and other forms of online peril.
