Embassy of Thailand in Pakistan and Marriott Team Up for Thai Food Festival

Date:

The Marriott Hotel in Pakistan hosted a one-day Thai food festival in collaboration with the Royal Embassy of Thailand in Pakistan over the weekend, complete with musical performances, traditional dance routines, and real Thai cuisine.

The celebration featured a wide variety of delicious dishes, such as hot red chicken curry with coconut milk and unusual eggplants, and steamed fish with lemon and shellfish sauce.

Chef Thaiwichai, the Executive Thai Chef at the Marriott, oversaw the meal’s preparation, while a professional Thai cultural group provided entertainment.

The Royal Elephant’s head chef Thaiwichai has been working in the industry for over 25 years, and the restaurant is the only one in Pakistan to have been honored with the Thai Select Premium Certificate from the Thai Ministry of Commerce.

According to Chakkrid Krachaiwong, Thai Ambassador to Pakistan, “The Royal Thai Embassy is extremely happy to cooperate with the Islamabad Marriott Hotel to deliver real Thai cuisine to Pakistani tourists.” He said, “Thai food is a wonder in itself and will amaze you on several fronts.”

He said, “Thailand is famed for its excellent food, beautiful cultural history, and outstanding entertainment.”
