Thailand Increases Safety as Foreign Tourist Arrivals Rise

As the number of tourists from abroad continues to rise, the Thai government has mandated stricter safety regulations for visitors.

Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, as reported by Deputy Government Spokesperson Traisuree Taisaranakul, has requested that all necessary authorities and tourist operators increase security measures across the country to guarantee the safety of the public.

The spokesman said that it is especially important to ensure the safety of both Thai and international tourists during the peak season so that they would continue to feel comfortable visiting the country.
