There are not enough sunbeds and umbrellas for the number of people who have just discovered Phuket. Because of the high demand, some sellers have begun to intrude on prohibited territory. Extra space for the sun loungers is currently up for discussion. Safeguarding beachgoers and maintaining a relaxing atmosphere are both priorities.
Tourism from all over the world, including the UK, Europe, Russia, India, Australia, and Singapore, has revitalized Patong Beach in Phuket. A growing number of Thais are choosing to spend their vacations in the island province. There are not enough beach chairs and umbrellas to accommodate everyone who wants to use them due to the increase in vacationers.
Some sun lounger and umbrella rental services have also broken the rules by placing their products in prohibited areas of the beach. The goods are restricted to taking up no more than 10 percent of the beach’s total area, which is around 3 kilometers long.
When asked about accusations that sun loungers were set up too far beyond the permitted area, Prichawut Kisin, head of the group that represents sun lounger suppliers on Patong Beach, addressed the situation. His group advocated for an increase from 10 to 20 percent of the beach for sun loungers during peak season. The club is getting paperwork ready to request more space for sunbathing.
Mr. Prichawut stated that talks will be held with the appropriate agencies about beach massage services. Participants will also discuss the problem of nighttime vendors at the beach. According to him, the purpose of the meetings is to make tourists feel more at ease and secure.
Mr. Prichawut noted that the group is also suggesting increasing the amount of green space at the beach by planting things like bayhops and thatch screwpine. The plants are a great way to protect the topsoil at the beach.
