Debt has been a significant issue for many Thais, particularly in the aftermath of the worldwide epidemic. The government has declared 2022 the “year for household debt resolution,” with four expos taking place during the year. The most recent of these expos was held in Chiang Mai province.
Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, Finance Minister, opened the third “Debt Resolution Expo” for 2022 at the Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Center. The Ministry of Finance, the Bank of Thailand (BOT), and the Government Financial Institutions Association all supported the exhibition.
The goal of the exhibition, which was held by Krung Thai Bank, was to give comprehensive answers for persons who were in debt.
The exhibition aimed to help consumers and company owners reduce their financial problems by providing full-time and part-time income-generating opportunities. Loans may be obtained for use as circulating cash or capital for income production, while education on finance and enhancement of professional skills were on offer to alleviate family debt.
Debt relief, payback term extensions, outstanding interest reductions, low-interest loans, collateral-free loans, and special interest savings products were also given. Additionally, the exhibition provided financial consulting and investment guidance for businesses.
