The Health Minister Has Committed to Boost Healthcare Safety

The Ministry of Public Health has committed to enhancing the nation’s health security systems and fostering fair access to healthcare by broadening the scope of what is covered by health insurance.

During his address to the 15th National Health Assembly, Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul remarked on the fact that the international community has ranked Thailand’s public health system as the world’s fifth-best. He praised everyone involved for working together so well to keep the system running smoothly during the outbreak.

Minister Anutin highlighted the government’s achievements in public health, including the expansion of the National Health Security program to include dialysis for renal patients, easier access to treatment at neighboring healthcare institutions, and expanded benefits for the elderly.

He also promised the introduction of additional health benefits to help individuals take care of their health.

Members of the national health assembly, including the minister present, have declared the assembly’s aims, which include backing the income assurance system and the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) economic model.
