During the New Year’s holiday season, AOT expects two million visitors

Date:

Airports of Thailand Plc (AOT) anticipates that around 2 million passengers will arrive at Thailand’s six major airports for the New Year’s holiday, advising passengers to allow at least two to three hours for their flights.

President of the AOT Nitinai Sirismatthakarn stated that arrangements have been made to accommodate passengers using AOT-operated airports. Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, Chiang Mai, Mae Fa Luang, Chiang Rai, Phuket, and Hat Yai are among them.

The “Sawasdee by AOT” smartphone app enables passengers to check the real-time status of their flights and receive intelligent notifications before to their planned departures. Users may also monitor the status of their checked bags and reserve parking spaces or taxi services through the app. Additionally, the app allows users to obtain information regarding airport public transit.

Parking rates at Suvarnabhumi Airport’s Zone C long-term parking area are eliminated from December 29 to January 3. During this time, shuttle buses will operate every 15 minutes to transport passengers from the parking area to the airport terminal.

From December 29 to January 4, the AOT president anticipates almost 2 million passengers at the six airports, a 171.28% increase from the previous New Year period.
