Free Museum Entry for New Year Holidays from Fine Arts Department

During the New Year’s holiday, visitors to Thailand will not have to pay to enter any of the country’s national museums or historical sites.

The Fine Arts Division is giving the public a present of free admission to these locations between December 30, 2022, and January 2, 2023. The public is invited to visit the Chao Sam Phraya National Museum in Ayutthaya province on December 30 for free to see exhibits such the gold workmanship exhibition, which opens on December 29.

The highly regarded Phra Phutta Sihing Buddha image, together with nine other fortunate Buddha sculptures, will be on display at Bangkok’s National Museum beginning December 28 and running daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until January 8.

From December 30 through January 2, visitors to the National Museum may take advantage of a free, special nighttime tour that focuses on Thai culture and architecture.
