Governor of Surat Thani inaugurates Surat Thani Provincial Administrative Organization CCTV Center to enhance the safety of the province’s public areas and transportation routes.
Mr. Wichawut Jinto, governor of Surat Thani Province, presided over the opening of the CCTV center on January 3, 2023. Mr. Sakwit Kaewmeesri, Deputy Prime Minister of the Surat Thani Provincial Administrative Organization, executives, members of the Surat Thani Provincial Administrative Organization, and heads of government agencies attended the ceremony.
In Surat Thani Province, the Surat Thani Provincial Administrative Organization has implemented a project to increase the safety potential of hazardous public areas and transportation routes. to maintain road order, stability, and safety. The province of Surat Thani installed 487 closed-circuit television cameras and 104 installation points, covering 15 out of 19 districts, to ensure the safety of citizens and tourists. In addition, the Surat Thani Provincial Administrative Organization’s Office of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation on Talat Mai Road, Mueang District, Surat Thani Province, houses a CCTV control center.
This project, according to the governor of Surat Thani province, would help people, including tourists, enjoy greater safety of life and property. Together with the Surat Thani Provincial Police, we would like to expand the network of cameras and images to guard against misfortune, including their use as evidence in solving significant cases.
