The Ministry of Commerce has created an application that encourages farmers and consumers to engage in direct marketing.
According to Deputy Government Spokesperson Ratchada Thanadirek, the application, known as “MOC Agri Mart,” would allow farmers and consumers to sell and buy agricultural goods without the need of intermediaries.
The app will give information about community products in addition to direct marketing between customers and farmers. Through provincial commerce offices and commercial attach?s, it will also encourage online pre-orders between farmers and domestic and international consumers.
The goal is to successfully handle the issue of seasonal overstock.
Under the “Agriculture produces – Commerce markets” plan, the Commerce Ministry and the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives collaborated on the application.
It is anticipated to promote export development and position Thailand’s agriculture industry as a global agricultural product and food powerhouse.
Those interested may get the app for free on Android and iOS, or visit www.mocagrimart.com for additional information.
