Thailand is quickly becoming a favorite destination for Chinese tourists looking to go worldwide after more than two years of travel restrictions.
According to Amanpreet Bajaj, Airbnb’s General Manager for Southeast Asia, India, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, Chinese tourists are especially interested in historical homes, domes, boat houses, and camping tents in Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, and Pattaya.
Amanpreet stated that the desire for foreign travel among Chinese tourists is at an all-time high, and that this spike in international travel interest in Thailand among Chinese visitors is really promising.
Thailand, along with the United States and Japan, was also one of the most popular worldwide locations for Chinese visitors on Airbnb over the recent Chinese New Year.
Airbnb is now collaborating with its host community and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in China to give guests with Thailand’s famous hospitality. In addition, to assist an inclusive tourism rebound, the company is promoting off-the-beaten-path places and trying to extend the advantages of tourism to more local neighborhoods and businesses.
