Siripaporn Nuanthakhamjan of Thailand has won the World Women’s Snooker Championship, defeating Chinese opponent Bai Yulu 6-3 in the final on Saturday at Hi-End Snooker Club (4 Mar).
Bai Yulu won the opening session 3-2 using the best of 11 frames rule. Siripaporn, on the other hand, came back in the second session and won four frames in a row to win the title.
Siripaporn has become the second Thai woman to win the Women’s Snooker Championship, following Mink Saraburi, who won the title last year. Siripaporn overcame Mink in the semi-finals to win a spot in the final against Bai Yulu.
Siripaporn’s victory has won her a spot on the professional snooker tour for the next two years, joining other Thai professional players. F Nakhon Nayok, Moo Paknam, Jack Saraburi, and Mink Saraburi are among the players.
Siripaporn won the Women’s Snooker Championship and a cash prize of 8,000 pounds (331,000 baht).
