According to the website, Phanaeng curry is a Thai curry with a thick texture and a salty-sweet peanut flavor, made from stewed beef with dried chilis, kaffir lime leaves, coconut milk, cilantro, cumin, garlic, lemongrass, shallots, and peanuts. Traditionally, the meal is cooked without any vegetables.

Another Thai dish in the top 10 is Massaman curry, which ranks eighth with a score of 4.6. According to the website, Massaman curry is the mildest and sweetest of Thai curries. Massaman curry is described by TasteAtlas as a blend of creamy coconut milk, meat, potatoes, and a curry paste created with roasted spices, with the usage of coconut milk as an original Thai element, giving a rich basis for the remaining ingredients. This meal is often made using thicker pieces of meat such as beef, bone-in chicken, lamb, and mutton, as well as spices such as cumin, coriander, cloves, cinnamon, and peppercorns, as well as fresh garlic, chile, galangal, lemongrass, tamarind paste, and palm sugar.
