Hua Hin Launches 3×3 Basketball Tournament to Encourage Youth and Promote Sports and Tourism

The Hua Hin 3×3 Basketball Hero On The Beach 2023 tournament was launched on April 1, 2023, at Hua Don Beach in Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. The tournament aims to promote sports and encourage youth to utilize their free time constructively by showcasing their basketball skills.

In addition, the event seeks to maintain Thailand’s position in the top 10 of FIBA 3×3 Ranking and compete at the World Cup level the following year, while also promoting tourism. The tournament will be publicized via the Facebook Fanpage 3×3 Street Basketball, with the hope that Thai youth will benefit from the event and grow into quality personnel for the nation’s future.

Dignitaries including the Mayor of Hua Hin, Mr. Nopporn Wuthikul, members of the municipal council, and the Deputy Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Prachuap Khiri Khan Office, attended the opening ceremony along with basketball players and the judging committee. Mrs. Wassana Srikanchana, President of Hua Hin / Cha-am Tourism Business Association, and Mr. Thanet Wichienthiap, Company Manager of Hero Organizer Group Co., Ltd. were also present to encourage the participants.
