A second check dam has been built in the Sueb Tuk Tuk Bamrung Suk district, which is a significant development for the “Sustainable Integration of Sook Bumrungsuk District Project.” The dam was constructed in the Huai Ngwong Tabak River area, Moo 6, Ban Khao Kaew, Thong Mongkhon Subdistrict, Bang Saphan District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.
Mr. Lertyot Yamphrai, the Chief of Bang Saphan District, presided over the event, which was attended by government representatives from various agencies. Local leaders, village headmen, forestry teams, and local volunteers from ten villages in Thong Mongkol Subdistrict, totaling over 100 people, also attended the event. Teams from SVL Group, one of the project’s seven network partners, represented the private sector.
The “Sustainable Integration of Sook Bumrungsuk District Project” has been led by Ms. Wanvisa Hoonjin, Manager of Community Relations and Community Development. She organized for a group of employee representatives to attend the event and contribute to the project budget. Mr. Sompong Nuchanong, the sub-district chief of Thong Mongkol, represented the local community and contributed significantly to the project.
The construction of the second check dam is expected to have a positive impact on the region’s water resources and aid in flood mitigation. The involvement of government agencies, local leaders, and community volunteers will strengthen the project’s sustainability and integration goals. This is an important step forward for the “Sustainable Integration of Sook Bumrungsuk District Project” and the community’s efforts to achieve a sustainable future.
