On April 4th, Pol. Gen. Phol Khuankhinsin, the Hua Hin District Chief in Prachuap Khiri Khan, was the chairman of the Sustainable Community Project to tackle the nationwide drug problem. The ceremony was held at the Sala Rum Jai Community, Hua Hin Municipality. The project was welcomed by Nopporn Wutthikul, the Mayor of Hua Hin, Pol. Lt. Col. Hongsaprom Wisitchonchay, Superintendent of Hua Hin Police Station, Pol. Col. Chakrapat Chanthiang, Deputy Superintendent of Provincial Police Region 7, and Miss Kanyapak Pakdiwong, President of the Sala Rum Jai Community, along with the local community.
The Hua Hin Police Station was assigned by the Provincial Police Region 7 to carry out the project, which aims to solve the drug problem in the community by creating a sustainable community. The project will focus on raising awareness and understanding of the dangers of drugs in the community and the need for urgent action to solve the problem. The Sala Rum Jai Community was selected to participate in the project due to the widespread drug problem in the area and the need for immediate rehabilitation of affected individuals. The community signed a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate in solving the drug problem. The Sustainable Community Project will be implemented in the Sala Rum Jai Community for four months, from April 3rd to June 30th.
Pol. Gen. Phol Khuankhinsin stated that the project is carried out every year, with rotating communities selected to participate. The project aims to intensively promote awareness and understanding of the dangers of drugs, and to create a sustainable community that can solve the drug problem in the long run.
