On June 29, 2023, a scholarship awarding ceremony took place at the Market Village Hua Hin shopping center in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. Mr. Nopphon Wuthikul, Mayor of Hua Hin, presided over the event, joined by esteemed guests including Mr. Wachira Hasdeepong, Hua Hin Prosecutor Provost; Opas Kanchanadham, Dean of Hua Hin Subdistrict, Hua Hin Municipality Executive Board members; student teachers; and other honored guests.
Mrs. Lisa Ungheng, in her remarks, highlighted the collaborative efforts of the Hua Hin District Cultural Council and Phrakhru Opaskanchanatham, Dean of Hua Hin Subdistrict, Region 2, along with the support of the Abbot of Wat Saphan Chilek, Market Village Hua Hin Shopping Center, and devoted believers. Together, they generously donated scholarships to all 43 educational institutions in Hua Hin District. A total of 331 scholarships, each amounting to 1,000 baht, were awarded, resulting in a cumulative amount of 331,000 baht.
These scholarships aimed to support students who demonstrate good conduct, uphold values of morality, ethics, gratitude, honesty, patriotism, religion, and monarchy, as well as make positive contributions to society. The scholarships serve to boost the morale of young individuals who will play a vital role in shaping the nation’s future. They encourage the pursuit of knowledge, unity, and the preservation of arts, culture, traditions, and local wisdom that are integral to Thailand’s heritage.
The ceremony provided an auspicious platform to acknowledge the dedication and achievements of deserving students while instilling in them a sense of pride and responsibility towards their communities and cultural heritage.
