In a meeting held on July 7, 2023, at Pattaya City Hall in Chonburi Province, Mr. Li Jia Hao, president of the renowned cosmetic business Xi Lo Ti, along with a delegation, met with Mr. Poramet Ngamphichet, Mayor of Pattaya City, and Ms. Thithiphan Petchtrakul, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya City. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss safety guidelines for tourists, as a group of Chinese businessmen, members of Xi Lo Ti, were planning to travel to Thailand and participate in the year-end countdown event in Pattaya, with an expected turnout of up to 3,000 people.
During the meeting, the Xi Lo Ti company sought permission to capture photos and videos of the event to promote tourism in Pattaya, aiming to build confidence among the tourists planning to visit during this period.
Mayor Poramet Ngamphichet emphasized that Pattaya City is prepared to welcome a significant number of foreign tourists, including the group of Chinese businessmen. The city has implemented safety measures in collaboration with the police and other relevant agencies to ensure the well-being of tourists.
He further mentioned that Pattaya City has previous experience in handling large crowds during events like the New Year’s Eve celebration and the Pattaya Countdown Festival. With the existing safety measures in place, both local and visiting tourists can have peace of mind knowing that their well-being is a top priority for the city.
