In a heartfelt ceremony held recently, Mr. Polkrit Phuangwalaisin, the esteemed Hua Hin District Chief of Prachuap Province, presided over the inauguration of a remarkable initiative that has captured the attention of the community. On the auspicious occasion of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s birthday, the fourth installment of the volunteer medical unit, known as Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Boromratchachonnani (Por.Sor.Sor.) Hua Hin District, came to life.
Joining Mr. Phuangwalaisin in commemorating this joyous event were several esteemed individuals, including Mrs. Usa Puangvalaisin, President of the Hua Hin District Red Cross, and Mr. Janwit Plisak, representing Hua Hin Hospital and the Bueng Nakhon Sub-district Administrative Organization. The event witnessed the collective participation of village chiefs, village headmen, village volunteers, members of the POD, and various related agencies. Their presence symbolized unwavering loyalty to His Majesty the King and a commitment to serving the Thai people.
A significant highlight of the ceremony was the royal pin awarding ceremony, where 24 distinguished POI senators were honored for their exceptional contributions. Additionally, the Office of the Relief and Public Health Center of the Thai Red Cross Society generously donated survival bags to 30 individuals at the town hall of Bueng Nakhon Village, Village No. 5, in the Bueng Nakhon Sub-district of Hua Hin District.
Speaking passionately about the event, General Krit Phuangwalaisin expressed profound admiration for Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, who holds a revered place in the hearts of the Thai people. The Princess, known for her dedication to royal duties and her compassionate nature, has consistently worked towards the well-being and betterment of the Thai population. Through her immense efforts, she has brought tremendous benefits to the country, particularly in the areas of education, literature, public health, and the overall enhancement of societal well-being. Her compassion extends to even the most remote and underprivileged communities, where she strives to bridge the gap and uplift their quality of life.
The noble initiative launched during this celebratory event focused on providing essential medical services to those in need. The mobile medical unit, POW (People of Wellness), ensured that general medical examinations were accessible to all attendees. In addition, services such as mobile dental care, acupuncture treatments, Thai massage, and counseling for mental health issues were made available to approximately 200 individuals. This comprehensive approach aimed to address not only physical ailments but also the overall well-being of the community.
The local residents of Hua Hin District embraced this initiative with deep gratitude for the benevolence of His Majesty the King, whose unwavering support and guidance continue to uplift the lives of the Thai people. As the volunteer medical unit embarked on its mission to serve, the community eagerly awaited the positive impact it would undoubtedly bring, fostering a sense of unity and compassion for one another.
