Hua Hin – Cha-am Golf Festival 2023 Kicks Off with Exciting Opening and Elite Courses

Hua Hin, Prachuap Province – On July 30, 2023, the Hua Hin Royal Golf Course witnessed a momentous event as Mr. Apichai Chatchalermkit, the Deputy Governor for Products and Tourism Business at The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), took the helm of the grand opening ceremony for the “Hua Hin – Cha-am Golf Festival 2023.” The prestigious festival kicked off with an impressive lineup of esteemed guests, including Mr. Suwit Rianrungruang, President of the Golf Association of Prachuap Khiri Khan Province – Phetchaburi Province; Mr. Nopporn Wuthikul, Mayor of Hua Hin; Mr. Methee Suthat Na Ayutthaya, President of the Professional Golf Association of Thailand; Mrs. Wassana Srikanchana, President of the Hua Hin Tourism Business Association – Cha-am; as well as the distinguished Hua Hin Royal Golf Course Manager, (Special) Chao Popthatphong, and other honored attendees. The ceremony commenced with an entertaining activity of “Ping-pong balls into the basket,” delighting the participating golfers before the highly-anticipated tournament began.

Mr. Suwit Rianrungruang expressed his excitement as the driving force behind the organizing committee of the Hua Hin – Cha Am Golf Festival. The festival has shown tremendous growth and continuity, celebrating its 22nd anniversary this year as a prominent platform for promoting golf tourism. Highlighting its crucial role in driving the economy not only in the Hua Hin – Cha Am area but also in various regions of Thailand, Mr. Rianrungruang underscored the festival’s significance in attracting a staggering number of tourists. Over 25 million visitors have journeyed to the country in the past, contributing hundreds of billions of baht to the national revenue. This year’s festival is expected to see approximately 30,000 golfers converging on the Hua Hin – Cha Am area during August and September 2023, ready to tee off at the various participating golf courses, including the esteemed Royal Hua Hin Golf Course, Palm Hills Golf Course, Suan Son Pradiphat Golf Course, Springfield Golf Course, Lake View Golf Course, and the Majestic Golf Course.

As for the festival’s schedule and venues, the action commenced at Field 1 on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at Sanam Luang Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan. On Saturday, August 5, 2023, Course 2 will take center stage at the Palm Hills Golf Resort and Country Club in Phetchaburi Province. Golf enthusiasts can gear up for Course 3, scheduled for Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the picturesque Suan Son Pradipat Golf Course in Prachuap Khiri Khan. Then, on Saturday, September 2, 2023, the spotlight shifts to Course 4, hosted by the splendid Springfield Royal Country Club in Phetchaburi Province. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their skills at Course 5, held at the scenic Lake View Golf Course Resort and Golf Club in Phetchaburi Province on Saturday, September 9, 2023. Finally, the tournament concludes on a high note with Course 6 at the renowned Majestic Creek Golf Club in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

With a fantastic array of courses and a rich history of promoting golf tourism, the “Hua Hin – Cha-am Golf Festival 2023” promises to be a riveting experience for golfers and spectators alike, solidifying its status as a premier golfing event in the region.
