In a bid to uphold transparency and engender confidence in the ongoing “Football Field Construction Project,” Mayor Pramet Ngampichet of Pattaya has been steadfast in ensuring that operations remain open to public scrutiny since its initiation. The collaborative efforts with the Anti-Corruption and Public Sector Reform Office (PACC) exemplify a commitment to establishing a blueprint for forthcoming projects. As of the 27th of September, 2023, Pattaya city authorities, under the leadership of Mayor Pramet Ngampichet and PACC Regional Director Kittipong Khliyarat, have unveiled the third-phase advancement of the Eastern Region Football Stadium in Chonburi Province. This endeavor, conducted in partnership with Green Thumb Company Limited, holds significance within the community and the media due to its 15-year-long construction duration, sparking a multitude of concerns.
Today’s project observation involved representatives from both the city of Pattaya and Green Thumb Company Limited, who acknowledged these concerns while emphasizing their commitment to adherence to the stipulated 820-day timeframe for project completion. Mayor Pramet Ngampichet extended an inclusive invitation to the media, affirming the city’s compliance with established procurement regulations and laws. Green Thumb Company Limited, the appointed contractor, expressed their enthusiasm and assured confidence in achieving the project’s objectives within the prescribed timeline. This collaborative initiative aims to set a precedent for transparent and successful ventures in the region, demonstrating a strong alliance between the city and the PACC in fulfilling developmental aspirations.
