Its primary goals include promoting health through physical activity, fostering sports development, boosting tourism, and enhancing the region’s identity by connecting districts and neighboring provinces. Scheduled to occur eight times at the district level and once at the provincial level between February 28 and May 1, 2024, the event aims to engage communities and showcase the scenic beauty of the area.
The 8th installment of the district-level RUN KHAN DO event took place around Bang Boet Temple, Village No. 5, Sai Thong Subdistrict, Bang Saphan Noi District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, and Ban Pak Khlong, Pathio Subdistrict, Pathio District, Chumphon Province. This route, stretching along the coastline from Prachuap Khiri Khan to Chumphon, was aptly named “Running 2 Lands Visiting Prachuap – Chumphon.” The success of the event was made possible through the collaboration of government agencies, local organizations, private enterprises, and the public sector, with additional support from community groups and clubs in Bang Saphan Noi District.
