A Thai ladyboy lost 2,000 baht in cash and a mobile phone after a one-night stand with a Thai man at a resort in Pattaya.

The victim’s friend took to social media, sharing a picture of the suspect’s car and asking for help in identifying the thief. “Please help. My friend went to a resort with a man. After having sex, he stole my friend’s black bag, containing a purse, credit cards, ID card, and cosmetics, before fleeing in his white Suzuki,” the friend posted.

The victim, a 19-year-old known as A, later detailed the incident in an interview with ThaiRath. She tearfully recounted that the 21-year-old thief, identified as Mike, contacted her via the LINE application. They arranged a meeting on the first day of chatting. Mike picked her up from her condominium in his Suzuki Swift hatchback and drove to the resort. A became suspicious when Mike insisted she leave her mobile phone in his car, claiming he wanted their time together to be phone-free.

Mike paid 1,000 baht for the room and then took a shower. While waiting for him, A asked her friend to be on standby, sensing Mike’s suspicious behavior. After Mike finished showering, A took her turn, bringing all her belongings to the bathroom for safety.

After having sex, Mike asked her to clean up in the bathroom. She forgot her suspicions and left her belongings with him. While she was showering, A heard Mike leaving the room and his car starting. She rushed out to find her bag gone.

A attempted to chase Mike but couldn’t catch him. Her bag contained a mobile phone, a credit card, an ID card, a phone charger, and 2,000 baht in cash.

A filed a complaint at Nong Prue Police Station, hoping for justice. She expressed her disappointment and sadness over the incident.

In a similar case from November 2022, a Thai transwoman was murdered by a Thai man who then stole her mobile phone, a designer necklace, and cash. The man was arrested after the victim’s body was found in a canal near Bangkok.
