Prime Minister Srettha Explores Hosting Formula One in Bangkok

Formula One, renowned for its prestigious FIA Formula One World Championship, conducts a series of races annually over a span of approximately nine months. The 2024 season is set to feature 24 races in 21 countries across five continents, showcasing its global appeal and extensive reach.

The Thai government is currently assessing the feasibility of bringing this high-profile sporting event to Bangkok. The initiative aims to harness the event as a catalyst for economic growth, community benefits, and youth engagement. Hosting a Formula One race is seen as a strategic move to enhance Thailand’s international tourism appeal and reinforce its status as a major host of international events.
