Thailand and China Draw 1-1 in World Cup Qualifier

Thailand’s national football team tied with China 1-1 in an away match, the Group C match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Asian qualifiers, held in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, on June 6, 2024.

The game saw Thailand take an early lead at the 20-minute mark with a goal from Supachok Sarachat. China had a chance to equalize early in the second half, but Ferdandinho missed a penalty.

However, Baihelamu Abuduwaili scored for China with 11 minutes remaining, securing a draw for the home team.

Looking ahead, China faces a crucial match against South Korea, while Thailand will host Singapore in Bangkok. Thailand could still secure second place in the group with a victory if China loses.
