Chonburi-Pattaya Esports Championship 2024 Announced


On June 10, 2024, local officials and representatives gathered at Terminal 21 Shopping Center in Pattaya to announce the “Chonburi-Pattaya Esports Championship 2024.” The event, scheduled for June 15-16, aims to elevate esports activities to international standards while promoting sports tourism and the sports industry in Chonburi Province.

The announcement was made by Mr. Kritsana Bunsawat, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya City, alongside Mr. Pansak Ketwattha, Deputy President of the Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization, and Mr. Thinpat Panchamahalap, President of the Chonburi Provincial E-Sports Association. Also in attendance were Mr. Nakhon Phollook-in, the founder of Chonburi E-Sports, sponsor representatives, and shopping center officials.

The “Chonburi-Pattaya Esports Championship 2024” will be held at Terminal 21 Pattaya Shopping Center. The competition seeks to develop esports activities towards excellence, promote the sports tourism sector, and stimulate the local economy. Additionally, it aims to inspire youth and the community to pursue careers in the burgeoning esports industry.

The event will feature a competition to crown the top ROV (Realm of Valor) racer, with a total prize pool exceeding 330,000 baht. This significant prize is expected to attract a large number of esports athletes from Pattaya and Chonburi Province, generating substantial interest and participation.

Mr. Kritsana Bunsawat highlighted the collaborative efforts between Pattaya City and the Chonburi Provincial E-Sports Association in organizing the event. He emphasized that the championship would not only enhance the local esports scene but also contribute to the broader economic and social development of the region.

Officials and representatives attending the press conference underscored the importance of such events in positioning Chonburi as a key player in the esports industry. Their presence reflects the strong support from local government and private sectors for initiatives that foster economic growth and community engagement through sports.

As the championship date approaches, the organizers expect increasing interest from both participants and spectators, signaling a bright future for esports in the region.
