Hua Hin Prepares for King’s 6th Cycle Birthday Celebration

On June 10, 2024, General Krit Puangwalaisin, Hua Hin District Chief, met with Major General Phongsak Iampaya, Commander of the Royal Thai Army Cadet Academy, to discuss preparations for the “Walk, Run, Cycle the Flag Emblem of the Celebration Ceremony” in honor of His Majesty the King’s 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary on July 28, 2024. The meeting took place in the reception room of the Royal Thai Army Cadet Academy, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.

Ms. Busaba Choksuchat, Deputy Mayor of Hua Hin City, Mrs. Wasana Srikanchana, President of the Hua Hin/Cha-am Tourism Business Association, Ms. Manta Baiyam, Executive Chairman of P2S EVENT, and other officials were also in attendance. The meeting aimed to coordinate the event, which involves a symbolic flag procession through Hua Hin District, set to arrive on June 17, 2024.

Ms. Manta Baiyam explained that the event will feature walking, running, and cycling with the flag emblem to commemorate the King’s auspicious birthday. The procession will begin in Pranburi District and pass through significant locations in Hua Hin, including Rajabhakti Park, a site of national importance. The Hua Hin District Chief has been collaborating with government agencies, private sector representatives, and community groups to ensure the event’s success.

Following discussions with the Royal Thai Army Cadet Academy’s commander, it was agreed that the academy would support the event. The academy will provide over 1,000 personnel to assist with organizing activities, including forming the Thai number 10, symbolizing King Rama X, as part of the celebratory preparations.

The procession will continue through notable landmarks in Hua Hin, such as Bluport Hua Hin Shopping Center, Market Village Hua Hin Shopping Center, Hua Hin Railway Station, and Chatchai Market. The symbolic flag will then be handed over to Phetchaburi Province in a ceremony in front of Klai Kangwon Palace.

The event, orchestrated by P2S EVENT, is designed to honor His Majesty the King and involve the community in a significant national celebration. This collaborative effort highlights the importance of unity and respect for the monarchy in Thailand.
