Thailand Launches Amazing Beach Life Festival to Boost Tourism

Date:

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has unveiled the “Amazing Beach Life Festival,” an event series designed to boost tourism during the green season. Scheduled across Rayong, Phang-Nga, Phuket, and Songkhla provinces, this festival forms a key part of the government’s broader “Ignite Tourism Thailand” campaign.

The festival aims to attract both international and domestic tourists with an array of beach activities, thereby stimulating local economies during the off-peak season. Apichai Chatchalermkit, TAT’s Deputy Governor of Tourism Products and Business, emphasized that the event is crafted to distribute economic benefits across local communities.

The festival kicks off at Laem Charoen Beach in Rayong from July 12-14, continues in Phang-Nga from July 26-28, moves to Patong Beach in Phuket from August 2-4, and wraps up at Chalatat Beach in Songkhla from August 9-11. Planned activities include water sports, music concerts, DJ performances, and beach-themed DIY workshops. Additionally, the festival will host local art and craft fairs, food trucks, beach bars, and fashion displays.

In support of sustainable tourism, the event will feature eco-friendly decorations and a booth showcasing Thailand Tourism Award recipients, which honor sustainable tourism businesses. TAT is partnering with Global Chemical (PTTGC) for waste management efforts, and the “YOUTURN Platform” will engage tourists in responsible waste practices and offer DIY activities for upcycling plastic waste.

The Amazing Beach Life Festival is free to the public, with more information available on its official Facebook page and through the 1672 Travel Buddy hotline. The festival is expected to draw significant attention, with numerous officials and prominent figures in attendance.
