Prachuap Khiri Khan Art Festival 2024 Announced in Hua Hin

On August 15, 2024, a press conference was held at the Hua Hin Artist House in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, where the upcoming Prachuap Khiri Khan Art Festival 2024 was announced. The event, set to take place from September 6 to 8, will feature a range of activities aimed at promoting art tourism in the region. Deputy Governor Ongkharak Thongniramon presided over the conference, which highlighted the festival’s role in continuing the development of contemporary art and adding cultural value to the local community.

The festival, organized by the Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Cultural Office, will include workshops, exhibitions, and live performances by national artists, senior artists, graffiti artists, and other creative professionals. Visitors will have the opportunity to engage in various artistic activities, such as learning from renowned artists, participating in discussions on the Thai art industry, and enjoying live music performances. The event aims to foster a greater appreciation for contemporary art among both Thai and international tourists, further establishing Hua Hin as a prominent destination for cultural tourism.

Mr. Achawan Kongkanan, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Prachuap Office, expressed support for the festival, emphasizing its importance in positioning Hua Hin as an artistic hub. He noted that the region has consistently hosted arts and cultural events, in line with government policy to promote tourism through cultural engagement. The festival is expected to attract art lovers and tourists, enhancing Hua Hin’s reputation as a center for creative and cultural activities.

The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily, and it will include a variety of booths, demonstrations, and creative activities. The press conference saw the participation of several notable figures, including Mrs. Kritsana Phaisaengchan, Director of the Provincial Cultural Office; Mr. Chanwit Unhasutthiyanon, President of the Provincial Cultural Council; Mrs. Lisa Ungheng, Chairwoman of the Hua Hin District Cultural Council; and Mr. Phonkrit Puangwalaisin, Hua Hin District Chief, among others. The event also featured a live drawing performance by Ajarn Sawat Kesangam, showcasing the artistic talent that will be on display at the upcoming festival.
