The event was held at Queen’s Park (19 Rai), with the awards ceremony for the doubles category scheduled for September 4, 2024, and the team category on September 5, 2024.
The pétanque competition is one of several sports included in the 2024 Annual Youth Sports Program, organized by the Education Division of Hua Hin Municipality. This program aims to provide opportunities for children and youth from local schools within the Hua Hin municipal area to participate in various sports. The program features competitions in badminton, pétanque, basketball, futsal, and track and field events, and is set to run from September 1 to September 15, 2024.
It was reported that the program has drawn considerable interest from local schools and community members. The initiative not only fosters a spirit of sportsmanship among young athletes but also encourages physical fitness and teamwork. The final awards ceremony is expected to draw a significant number of attendees.
