The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Southern Region, in collaboration with the TAT Koh Samui Office, recently organized a Familiarization (Fam) Trip to promote tourism in Koh Tao, Surat Thani Province. Media representatives were invited to explore the region’s natural beauty, with a highlight being a boat tour to Koh Nang Yuan, where participants engaged in snorkeling activities. The trip aimed to generate awareness of the area’s appeal, particularly its underwater attractions, which are popular with nature-loving tourists.

Koh Nang Yuan is renowned for its vibrant marine ecosystem and numerous snorkeling spots teeming with colorful coral and diverse marine life. The island’s clear waters offer visibility of its underwater wonders, including clown fish, parrot fish, and other species often found near the coral reefs just off the shore. Snorkelers may also encounter sea turtles or non-aggressive sharks, enhancing the overall experience.

Ms. Watchanan Silpawornwiwat, Director of the Southern Region for the TAT, emphasized that Koh Nang Yuan is one of Thailand’s premier snorkeling destinations. In addition to the rich marine life, the peaceful and scenic environment of the island provides an ideal setting for tourists seeking relaxation and an intimate connection with nature.

It was reported that the event successfully highlighted Koh Nang Yuan’s natural attractions, boosting its reputation as a must-visit destination for eco-tourism enthusiasts. The media representatives were encouraged to share their experiences to further promote the region’s unique offerings to a wider audience.
