Date:

On September 13, 2024, Hua Hin Mayor Nopporn Wuttikul chaired a meeting to review the progress of the Chatchai 7 Curves Market improvement project. The meeting was attended by various officials, including Apikun Sirakunchai, advisor to the mayor, Jirawat Phramanee, the municipality’s permanent secretary, Deputy Permanent Secretary Petty Officer 1st Class Likhit Noonin, as well as directors from the Engineering Office, Treasury Division, and Public Health and Environment Division. The gathering took place at the Hua Hin Municipality Office.

The meeting followed an earlier consultation between the Hua Hin Municipality and local entrepreneurs from Chatchai Market. During that session, discussions focused on organizing the sales area and enhancing the market’s cleanliness and overall appeal. The goal was to transform Chatchai Market 1, also known as the 7 Curves, into a center for food and souvenirs, designed to meet hygienic standards. This initiative aims to attract more residents and tourists to the market.

It was reported that the Hua Hin Municipality Council had previously approved the renovation of Chatchai Market 1 as part of the fiscal year 2024 budget. The council authorized the use of funds from the annual savings for this project. During the latest meeting, officials examined the construction plans and reviewed the project’s scope, with the committee providing updates on the next steps. Local officials and stakeholders expressed their commitment to ensuring the project’s timely completion to boost tourism and local business.
