Thai Zoo’s Pygmy Hippo Joins Free Fire in New Collaboration

Date:

The Zoological Park Organization of Thailand, under Royal Patronage, has partnered with Garena Free Fire to introduce “Moo Deng,” a pygmy hippopotamus from Khao Kheow Open Zoo, into the popular mobile game. This marks the first time the beloved hippo will appear in a global online gaming platform, with the partnership set to launch in November.

The collaboration will bring a selection of in-game items inspired by Moo Deng, offering players exclusive content through various game activities. With Free Fire’s extensive player base, this initiative aims to bridge the gap between wildlife conservation and gaming, encouraging greater public engagement with Thailand’s biodiversity.

Beyond entertainment, the partnership reflects Thailand’s commitment to wildlife conservation and creative promotion of its national identity. This project merges digital experiences with environmental awareness, exemplifying innovative efforts to support local causes and businesses.

As part of the collaboration, a donation of 150,000 baht will be made to the Moo Deng Project for Flood Victims and Animal Welfare. This contribution will further assist ongoing efforts to improve animal care and community support across the region.

Involved organizations highlighted the importance of creative partnerships like this one, noting that such collaborations not only enhance gaming experiences but also raise awareness about conservation efforts in Thailand.
