A prominent luxury hotel in Hua Hin has dismissed its general manager following customer backlash over his response to an online review. The incident began when a guest, who had left a Google Maps review highlighting the hotel’s 20-baht fee for a toothbrush, received a reply from the manager stating he would “educate” her on the hotel’s environmentally friendly policy.

In a public apology on its Facebook page, Putahracsa Hua Hin confirmed the immediate termination of the manager’s contract, expressing regret over the incident and appreciation for customer feedback. The hotel stated its commitment to respecting guest opinions and encouraged open dialogue to address any future concerns.

The post garnered extensive attention, with over 400 comments and 500 shares, with many commenters urging the hotel to prioritize a more guest-centric approach in its management.
