A 35-year-old woman wanted for embezzlement and fraud was arrested on November 26, 2024, by Prachuap Khiri Khan Highway Police following an arrest warrant issued by the Phra Nakhon Nuea District Court. The operation was part of a coordinated effort under the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) to enforce outstanding arrest warrants.
The suspect, identified as Ms. Supapattra (surname withheld), was apprehended in Tambon Bon Nok, Mueang District, after an investigation revealed she was hiding at a local monastery. Acting on a tip-off, officers from Highway Police Station 3, Division 2, and Division 1 of the Consumer Protection Police Division set up surveillance in the area. The suspect was detained after confirming her identity and the validity of the warrant.
The charges stem from black case number A6699/2018 and red case number A1000/2019, issued in July 2023. The suspect confessed to being the person named in the warrant and stated she had not been arrested previously. She was taken to the Highway Police Service Unit in Ko Lak for formal processing before being transferred to the Phra Nakhon Nuea District Court in Bangkok’s Lak Si District for further proceedings.
This arrest forms part of a broader crackdown on crime under arrest warrants, which runs from November 25 to December 5, 2024. The initiative emphasizes collaboration across agencies to enhance efficiency in crime prevention and suppression efforts.
