The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has announced a slight reduction in the power tariff to 4.15 baht per unit, down from 4.18 baht, for the January to April period in 2025. The adjustment, revealed on Wednesday, aims to alleviate financial pressure on the public.
Energy Minister Pirapan Salirathavibhaga stated that the ERC reached the decision after consulting relevant organizations on ways to lower electricity bills. The move reflects efforts to address public concerns about rising living costs.
The announcement follows a resolution passed by the ERC earlier on Wednesday. Officials emphasized the reduction, while marginal, represents a commitment to easing the financial burden for consumers.
