Free Public Transport, Park Entry on National Father’s Day

Date:

Parents traveling with their children on Thailand’s Purple, Blue, Yellow, and Pink electric train lines will enjoy complimentary fares on National Father’s Day, December 5. The announcement came from Transport Minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit on Monday.

Eligible parents can collect free tickets by accompanying their children to the ticket booth at any electric train station. Each parent is entitled to one ticket under the initiative, aimed at celebrating family bonds on this special day.

In addition to the train fare exemption, motorists traveling on the first and second stages of expressways, as well as the Bang Pa-in-Pak Kret expressway, will benefit from waived tolls on December 5.

Further, all national parks, botanical gardens, and wildlife sanctuaries across the country will open their gates to the public free of charge, providing families with a range of cost-free leisure activities to mark the occasion.

The campaign reflects a broader effort to encourage family-oriented activities and promote access to Thailand’s natural and urban attractions.
