Hua Hin Municipality Launches Waste Separation Training Project

On December 4, 2024, Hua Hin Municipality officially launched a waste separation training initiative aimed at promoting sustainable waste management practices. The project, spearheaded by the Department of Public Health and Environment, was inaugurated by Mayor Nopporn Wuttikul at Ban Bo Fai Municipal School.

The program seeks to educate and encourage the community, particularly teachers and students from municipal schools, to adopt effective waste sorting habits at the source. Mr. Chatri Ritthong, a lecturer from the Sirindhorn International Environmental Park, led the training, providing insights on proper waste management techniques and demonstrating ways to add value to waste through recycling and transformation, ultimately reducing overall waste volume.

Mrs. Wariya Yooyen, Acting Director of the Public Health and Environment Division, highlighted the program’s objectives in her opening report. Ms. Kanokwan Khaikaew, Director of Ban Bo Fai Municipal School, joined teachers in welcoming participants to this initiative, which aims to instill lasting environmental awareness and practical skills in the community.

The project reflects Hua Hin Municipality’s commitment to fostering environmental stewardship and addressing waste issues through education and collaboration.
