Cholathit Leyanon, Chonburi Provincial Defense Secretary, Mr. Woraphop Kongthanacharat, Banglamung District Chief, to join forces with Pol. Col. Nawin Thirawit, Pattaya City Police Chief, Pol. Lt. Col. Sirachart Nuthet, Pattaya City Police Deputy Chief of Investigation, to lead Chonburi Provincial Administration officers, Banglamung District Administration officers, and Pattaya City Police officers, more than 100 officers, to raid an entertainment venue in the form of a pub in the middle of a popular road in Pattaya after the entertainment venue guards fought and injured a Chinese tourist on December 27, 2024, who is still receiving treatment at the hospital.

When they arrived, they found that the shop was still open for business. There were more than 300 tourists, both Thais and foreigners, most of whom were Chinese nationals, drinking alcoholic beverages and dancing to the music. The officers revealed themselves and ordered all activities to stop, turning on the lights and turning off the music. While the tourists were still unaware that the officers had broken in to inspect, they were ordered to separate the tourists into two groups: men and women. They then checked their ID cards, identification documents, and tested their urine for drugs.

The results showed that 39 of them tested positive for drugs, but no drugs or illegal items were found in the shop. Initially, 39 tourists with purple urine were detained, 19 men and 20 women, and sent to the Pattaya City Police investigators to proceed with legal action.
