A charity cycling event, Bike for Fishing Cat 2025, has been announced to raise awareness and support conservation efforts for the endangered fishing cat in Sam Roi Yot District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. The event, scheduled for March 23, 2025, aims to fund wildlife preservation initiatives and educational programs for underprivileged students.

The event, now in its seventh year, is organized by Kluaynamthai Hospital and the Kluaynamthai Foundation. Cyclists will embark on a 60-kilometer route starting at Maharaj Square, Pak Nam Pran, passing Bang Pu Temple and Phraya Nakhon Cave, before returning to the starting point. Proceeds will be directed toward conservation projects and scholarships for vocational training programs.
Participants can register until March 17, 2025, through the event’s official website, Facebook page, or via Line. The event also seeks to promote exercise, community engagement, and tourism in the Pak Nam Pran–Sam Roi Yot area.

The announcement was made at a press conference on February 21, 2025, at Tha Ruea Chom Thung, Koh Phai Camping, with local government officials, conservationists, and representatives from tourism and community organizations in attendance.
